I’m quite impressed with Pulsed Media small seedbox, upload was 3MBps and downloads varied a lot, but I believe I saw max download of 10MBps. Setup took just under 24 hours. And prices are reasonable. The best feature of all is their webgui, they have the standard rutorrent torrent client, but also provide you with a web portal which includes a file manager, irc chatroom, wiki and a few other cool pages. Prices were slightly higher than I’d liked because of tax and currency conversion to Euros I think.
Summary
- Total of 1.1TB transferred in 30 days (n.b. 13 days were lower than normal due to public tracker)
- Firstly Pulsed Media boxes are stable. They allocate RAM for you and deliver that, you can see the RAM used.
- Support respond reasonably fast, irc chatroom is nice as it allows you to chat to staff and other users.
- For a budget seedbox speeds are OK, I’ve had faster speeds with other seedboxes spending roughly the same amount.
- CPU + RAM allocation on start plan is plenty. I had 100+ torrents running and used around 25% of RAM
Cons
- Speed quite limited, ususally max upload I achieved was 3MB /s, even with completely fresh torrents. Sometimes it bursts to more, then comes back down to 3MB /s. This suggests some throttling going on.
Few Notes
Prices are in Euros, so make sure you convert Euros into USD (If you’re American). Non EU residents should not be charged VAT, it’s only chargable to EU residents. paypal give you poor currency conversions compared to a credit card (usually). They charge substantially less monthly fees if you sign up to an annual plan, if you subscribe on a one month contract it’s more expensive.
The free seedbox is just a marketing gimmick, don’t know anyone who got a free one, been signed up to receive a free seedbox for 3 months, and still no word.
I’m on the 9.95 unmetered plan. It’s based out of Europe which is a big plus for me.

Nice ‘Master GUI’ with ruTorrent for Torrents, File manager (inc. zip, tar.gz/bz2 archival tools), Quota info, help, IRC etc.
I initially purchased the 2010 1Gbit box from Customseedbox.com but that was a disaster due to Digicube not living upto Customseedbox’s or my expectations so I moved to the 2009+ box (Offered by Pulsedmedia) after chatting up with one of the support members on their IRC channel. Same price, same space, just 100mbps completely unmetered. The entire process of moving from 2010 to 2009+ took less than five minutes. I’ve never seen a more phenomenal support! The support is quick and responsive, and I’m glad to have been dealing with them over their IRC channel itself. Even if the box sucks – the support makes up for the quality of the service! I’ve logged into the server via SSH several times to find myself to be the only user usually active on the box (may change soon as more and more users are being moved to the 2009+ plans by default).
For the money I’m paying, I’m hard pressed to find a better alternative! Truly the ‘best bang for buck’.
I have had my seedbox (Shared Small) for about a week now and am very happy with it considering the low price of under 10 euro’s a month.
Download speeds are decent: around 4-6mbs constant and have seen it peak at 8/9mbs
upload speeds are ok: around 1-2mbs constant but i have seen it at 5/6mbs at times. (but even at 1mb this is still 10 times faster than i can upload at home)
IMO Considering the great speed and service I don’t think you can lose at under €10 a month. Great box to start with before moving onto more expensive dedicated servers etc – if you even needed to. I highly recommend based on my experiences so far.
Been with them for 3 weeks now, I got a 100mbps plan, but average speed is 12MB/s with spikes up to 18MB/s.
Support is good, very fast and responsive. Installed my own GUI (rtorrent) and it runs pretty fast.
They say there is no badnsidth limit, and this really seems to be the case, some providers start slowing down your speed when you go past a certain amount. Pulsed are still giving me high speeds even though I’ve passed the 2TB limit. I paid around 180 Euros for 3 month contract.
The only think bad with pulsed media is that they are an advanced plan you have to install your own client and OS. This is easy to do after reading the tutorials. But may be daunting if you’re new.
The other downside is that I had to wait 3 weeks for account setup because their servers are run by Digicube, and Digicube took a while to sort out their servers.
You guys must be the lucky ones, I signed up on the 1Gbit plan, but I realised it’s too big for my needs, and wanted to move to the 2009 plan. But it’s taking flippin forever. I’m still waiting for a month. It’s like if you have questions before buying they’ll answer straight away, but if you need support afterwards they’re nowhere to be seen.
Well I guess this is one of the last pieces of the puzzle. I have signed up for a semi-dedicated small seedbox, on a semi-annual subscription. VERY affordab,
No Upload/Download limit….
Price: Semi-annual – 9.89€/Month
Download maxed out at about 12-15 MB/s. Highest upload I saw was 8MB/s. Download to my PC maxed out my connection at about 3MBs.
I bought a small plan paying €9.92 per month. My upload speeds are around 400-900KB/s up. Burst of 2-3MB/s. Been with them two months, and they’ve been very stable, no resets at all.
Support was crap though, they expect you to know about rtorrent and linux, and they reply like 48 hours after.
Excellent speeds whenever i need, and plenty of space! 🙂
I had been with this company for about 10 months until yesterday. I was having problems with my FTP speed (was getting about 60Kb down. This was maybe the 4th or 5th problem in the 10 months Mostly seedbox down for a few days.
To make sure the issue wasn’t my side I tried multiple FTP clients, multiple PC’s multiple OS and Multiple FTP servers. I emailed the querying the issue and asked them to look into it for me, the response I got back was shocking, sarcastic and condescending. I was told that It wasn’t their fault as they can’t throttle the connection “That’s not how the internet works” They also say that they offer no guarantee of speed so they don’t need to look at the 60kb speed.
I replied advising then that they terms of service say that they can and will throttle speeds if they so choose and those terms of service and in fact nowhere on there site advises of a no guarantee policy.
There reply, they closed my account, this despite having 4 or 5 days of my current month left and credit on my account. They never gave me access to my seedbox to retrieve anything. When I asked for a refund they refused.
To summarise
shocking, sarcastic and condescending customer service
Inconsistant service
A company that won’t guarantee even 60kb download
Cancel your service whenever they feel like.
Lose access to your file without warning
No Chance of your money back WHEN all or some of the above inevitably happens

Initially the seedbox was great. I’ve been a customer for more than 4 months but I regret paying for a whole year. I read on some forum that the owner of this company is racist & hates people from Middle East & South East Asia, including India.
I am an Indian & I find this offensive. I replied to that forum post & the very next day my seedbox stopped responding. I opened ticket after ticket but still they are not responding. I think they are doing this because I’m Indian.
Garbage, been with them for over 2 yrs when they had auctions. Now the speeds are in single digit kbs and support does not respond for over 3 days.
It has been downhill for the last 6-9 months and basically you can call the service garbage
Switching to other providers who offer better service
Avoid this seedbox company at all cost. Do not give money to owner of PulsedMedia / Magna Capax Finland Oy. There is only one person behind this company which is K*** M***** A***** U****.
1. Stability is non existen. Prepare what your seedbox will go down on monthly basis.
2. Speed is slow and network is congested. He is overselling like crazy.
3. No refunds and aggressive customer support
4. There was some big security issues and person who found the issue didn’t get rewarded and banned on Discord.
This company is banned from /r/seedboxes for a reason. Be aware and read reviews.
