Santrex offer both web hosting and seedboxes, but don’t let that put you off, I believe every seedbox has a web hosting operation behind the woodwork. I ended up going for the rtorrent basic plan, at $29 per month. It’s not cheap, but yuou get what you pay off and with Santrex you get quality. Unlimited downloads, Unlimited torrents, rottrent webgui (IMO the best). Also 150GB of storage space. if you ask me that’s more than plenty.
What can I say? Performance is absolutely phenomenal, pictures says a thousand words, so here’s a cool screen shot with a blistering 7.5MB/s upload speed

- Max torrent download speed: ~15mb/s [my package limit]
- Max torrent upload speed: 512kb/s [close to my package limit]
- Typical/average torrent upload speed: ~350kb/s
- FTP download speed: max my ISP will allow
RTorrent WebGUI
I really like the rtorrent webgui over utorrent, and I selected rtorrent for several reason, lower memory footprint than utorrent, Has unzip/unpack functionality on the webgui, this is perfect for redistribution scene releases on a conventional tracker. Otherwise you’d have to download the zipped files, unpack, and reupload. Which will take forever on the home internet connection. The ability to download via http from the webgui means you don’t have to bother with ftp for small downloads too.

What can I say pictures speak louder than words 11MB/s up and 11MB/s down. Very fast and very nice.

Santrex is OK, their speeds are decent, but for the price it could be better. I have used other seedboxes that were cheaper and offered the same speeds

I’m on the basic package, speed is very good but I find that sometimes if you download too much with new torrents it fills up the max upload, so you can’t get max speeds either way, which isn’t a huge problem I’m not a big downloader so most of them time I’m just uploading

Santrex is the first seedbox I tried, I’m so impressed with them that I haven’t bothered to switch. Unlimited bandwidth, unlimited torrents (but keep it within reasonable levels). Support is fast. Though the utorrent GUI is pretty lame, I wish they used ruTorrent.
I’m on the $29 a month 100mbit plan too.

I like Santrex, their plans are affordable and you get the speed and service of a dedicated seedbox but without the price of dedicated. You can choose between torrentflux and utorrent I went for utorrent. GUI is fast. I am on the 100mbit unlimited plan for $29 a month. Been with them 3 months so can’t complain.

I’m on the $19 plan, been with Santrex for just over 4 months. Max speed is 3-7MB/s each way. They’re good value and I can’t say anything about them.

I’ve used quite a few seedboxes so my opinion counts because I can compare Santrex with others; I have been changing providers for quite some time. Exactly a month from now I decided to switch to Santrex (I will not be renewing my membership).
I got lousy speeds most of the time. My home internet was sometimes downloading faster than Santrex Seedbox!!!
You can see torrents seeding fast while you download, but when you finish the download the upload finishes too. I check the tracker and can see lots of leechers, but Santrex won’t upload.
I have experienced speeds going up and down all the time. Sometimes it’s fast you get 10MB/s other times you get few hundred KB/s. I think they may push way too many users on the same server.

Ok seedbox, nothing to write home about. Max speed I got was 1.2MB/s maybe they oversell their packages. Meh.. Gonna try something else from your recommendation

You have got to be kidding me! With all do respect, you just lost all credibility based on the star ratings alone. I had a VPS with them for awhile. Setup time was horrible. Support was horrible. I would get one response about every 24 hours and typically the responses were very incompetent. If you leave a negative review, members of the company will literally troll for responses. What respectable company trolls because users gave them legitimate bad reviews? Most importantly, you privacy is not guaranteed! I left a negative review on Web Hosting Talk forums. What followed was the most shocking experience of any hosting company I have ever seen. They literally released personal information about me on the forums with out hesitating.
